Edit: That place has lots of stuff though, but I imagine the cost of shipping to US would defeat the purpose of building my own antenna.

no idea then, usb dongles can be mounted in a can too, just use same measurements as a normal can.

Well, I had a usb adapter with a removable antenna for a while and had it shoved into a can with the right measurements and stuff, but I got bored and tried messing with the actual antenna to see if I could use it's connector and main element to the can connect directly to the adapter, but I effed it up so I either need a new antenna or the stuff to properly finish my cantenna.

Edit: I've seen the windsurfer before, as well as many other mods; I just have an ass-load of pringles cans laying around and want to use them.

do a google search and there is tons of info on how to build your own as well as where to get parts. Radioshack springs to mind as they got all kinds of shit.

How does your windsurfer work? I've thought about making two for my friends N router cause my desktop Wireless N card sucks getting a decent reception but the laptop with it's G USB adapter works flawlessly.

I've got tons of pages/links saved on designs, templates, calcs, info, etc. I was just wondering if anybody here could recommend any stores with good prices. Radioshack might have some stuff I suppose, but they charge too much for little connectors and adapters imo.

That does seem like a nice site and has some other stuff I was not-so-actively looking for but still wanted. However, I can't find any N-type or rp-sma connectors, etc. If they do have them, and I'm just retarded, please point me to the listing.

edit: K, so there are a lot different mounting types to choose from . . . Does anybody have any idea what type would be best for mounting inside the can? I want something that will be easy to mount/solder to the inside of the can.
