... if you have it set up so that all the files are actually downloaded to your different computers. I wanted to play Heroes 3, and realized I can just run the game from my Onedrive folder so that I can alternate between the desktop and laptop, wherever I am.

That is all.

My pro tip for anyone using cloud storage services (I use one drive):

1: If you can put data on a separate disk.

2: regardless, redirect all your user folders inside the cloud storage folder. I don’t mean copy paste, I mean right click > properties > change location.

Now all your files are always synced no matter how often or fast you change them.

Do that with all your machines and the experience syncs as if you’re using the same computer.

Been doing this for years and it’s such a load off.

This is a tangent, but I've never gotten into the habit of using the user folders. Back in the day I was constantly swapping parts around so having stuff on the Windows disk didn't make any sense because in a couple of weeks I would probably reinstall the OS (it got to the point that I knew my Win98SE key by heart). All that stuff is spread out amongst different drives, as nature intended. Also different computers are for different things and having them completely synched sounds nightmarish to me.
