Which node should I use? Will either do?

As you can see one of them has a VERY thick stem which can hardly bend, if I use that thick one, I might not be able to close the case with the tempered glass. How come today's PCIe power cable so thick? Frustrating!

Ether one will work

If you need more room you can get a aftermarket 90 degree connection

this is just an example

Frustrating? I guess you don't understand how electrical things work then...
Thicker wiring = less loss and less heat.
Considering how much power a lot of modern graphics cards draw, you want thick cables, as if you use crappy wiring, they can actually end up melting if there's too much current going through them.
Maybe you should've gotten a roomier case, as I've never ever had this issue.

My HTPC has this issue, when I dropped a 980 in it. The 90 degree extensions work if you buy a quality one

Mini-ITX build? This guy has a full-size ATX system.

EVGA has this fancy thing as well.

The most frustrating thing is that now I realize buying agraphics card also needs to consider the orientation of the power socket. Thanks! So either one will do, nice ot know, shall proceed now. Already delayed for 2 days. Taking more than 2 days to complete a build is a shame to myself!

None of Asus Z390 offers mATX ! I love mATX board. they are neither too big nor too small.
Got ot get on with the build. By

Because of current demands, thicker cables can carry more current without causing a fire. And you can close the case fine, the cables flex.

Ive got thick cables, no problems routing them correctly and i use a 1250 watter

using a hair dryer you can warm the cables and bend them as needed and when cool they keep a good portion of the shape.

But it looks clumsy, since almost all the cases including mine MasterBox MB511(Great case by the way) has tempered glass.
The case is good, I can close the right side panel with the minimal pressure or almost none really!

apparently that is one non-roomy case at all, that sounds below spec even reasonably

What do you mean by clumsy?

You ain't walking in that case and tripping.
