Hi everyone,
I have an issue with my PC randomly freezing on idle, after boot or on low demanding tasks for months now. I have troubleshooted almost every possible thing and changed all the parts without success.
Right now I have good reasons to believe that my GPU was a mining card and was repacked and sold as new... Therefor I wanted to test it with another BIOS, so I found on your website BIOS files which are for exactly my GPU model. I tried all 3 versions, 2 of them are for BIOS 1 and one is for BIOS 2 but all of them give me the same issue.
I am successful at flashing them, the PC reboots, but it will not load any drivers. Tried DDU deinstalling and reinstalling them again but the same happens. In device manager it says that there is an issue with the device and only 1 of my 3 monitors works with the changed BIOS. When i revert my backup file everything works again normally with all 3 monitors. I also tried running atikmdag-patcher but after reboot it stays the same.
Also, if I switch to BIOS 2 I get a screen artifact when the system starts booting, but just there for 2-3 seconds and it does not happen after it. A red box with stripes behind it, I can post a screenshot of this if needed.
Any help with this?
My GPU is AMD RX570 XFX 8GB, when I click on "Lookup" on GPU-Z it sends me to this link: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/xfx-rs-rx-570-black-edition-8-gb.b5737
Please find attached screenshot of my current BIOS 1 and BIOS 2 information.
