Graphic card error please i have no idea what happen to my GPU

this happen after i update the driver, for few hours it runs okay with no problem, and then my pc randomly restart and the display resolution show 1024x768
after that i change back the resolution back to my previous one, but i barely can run any games
please if any of you can tell me what happen to my graphic card
now i currently change my gpu to new one but i really want this to work again

problem gpu gtx 660 OEM 1536mb

It looks like you have not installed your graphics card driver from NVidia, hence why it says "Microsoft Basic Display adapter".

try uninstall the old one and installing the newer one or you can use the stock driver from your box
