graphics card rops question, can someone help me understand?

I heard a lot of issues lately of gpuz showing the ROP count for new nvidia cards was less than it should be, so I just decided on a whim to check my laptop. 780m igpu graphics, it says on tpu database i should have 32 rops, but gpu-z says i only have 16, is this an error, can someone help me understand? @W1zzard

from the internet, it seems you're not the only one, something must be off but not on your end, probably software i assume

Interesting, looks like 16 is just normal I guess. I ran a timespy benchmark and I scored about the same as other 780m's that I have found online, I matched the score almost exactly with a RoG Ally that uses the same gpu too.

I think it might detect something incorrectly. Note how it also says that the GPU release date is Jan 4, 2023. None of the variants in the TPU Db have that date though. So yeah.

I would suspect a database error is more likely. How hard can it be to enter the wrong value?
