Hello forum members,

Hope you're well!

I'm not sure how to ask this but, do you think an i5-6500 is a good match for a GTX 1650 GDDR5? I put this build together recently as a secondary rig and I am experiencing a lot of stuttering in NFS Heat at 1080p. I even tried increasing the settings to 1440p medium to shift more load onto the GPU and off the CPU, but the CPU still hits 100% at times. While I understand the CPU is quite dated and the GPU isn't a powerhouse either, do you think the issue lies with the game or a mismatch in the hardware combination?

Thanks,
Ppanickk

Sounds like a pretty darn good match to me!

Step up to a RX580 or higher

If you have any power monitoring software open during gaming, turn it off.

Not much you can do then other than part it out and start from scratch

Some stutter on those specs is pretty much expected. If it's intolerable all you can do is lower the resolution until it stops. If you need some help planning out a budget, post a new thread sometime and we'll be able to make you some nice part lists.

Games have far more increased their cpu hungriness compared to requirement from the gpu. You will find cpu pegged far more then gpu is at this point for that machine.

About only thing you could do is maybe see if you can get a 6700 for cheap that would help but i wouldn't spend to much on that.(or 7000 series intel)
