I have narrowed it down to these two cards for my XP Gaming PC.They are as much as i want to pay, that is 75 pounds. GTX 660 TI or HD7870 what do people think of *Game Debate*?.It says the GTX 660TI is 10% better than the HD7870.But when i look on youtube there very close with the HD7870 edging ahead by a small margin in the games it is showing.
.
That brings me on to the subject of CPU and GPU comparison sites. What are the best ones? When i mentioned * Bottleneck Calculator* people on here were saying it is not very good.
It works for me anyway. :)

Thanks for that ,it does follow that this site would be the best. :) You guys on here are very helpful.:)Which is more than i can say about other sites:(.Based on Performance on your list i will go for the GTX660TI at 75 pounds from CEX the only thing with them is you don,t know what version of the card you will get,o_OThe good thing about buying from them is you get a 24 month guarantee. :)

Support might very well be better on the Nvidia card. All things equal I think its the preferable choice, though the 660ti does have a slight inbalance wrt memory bus width/bandwidth.

That's what I would use, too

Have you considered a GTX 960?
That is way over my price range :(Is it worth me getting the GTX 760 that would be an extra 10 pounds? it is only 5% better than the GTX660 TI according to *Game-Debate*

I believe that 7870 is better for DX12&Vulkan where GTX 660 TI is maybe a bit faster in some DX 11 titles and those that Nvidia sponsored.....anyway those cards are really close *- 5% here and there....I owned that GTX 660 TI MSI Twin Frozr power edition and that cooler is really nice + card was excellent Overclocker

7870 is the same as the R9 270X and the R9 370X, so that design was relevant for a very long time. It may be that the driver support is much better for the 7870 than for the 660ti as a result.

That depends on what specifc models you're looking at, and whether you're willing to overclock or not. But I'd advise spending as much as you can, so I'd say it might be worth it. On the low end every bit of performance matters, depending a bit on what you're playing obviously.

What do you think of this one? Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 (SAMSUNG 2048 MB) (GV-N670WF2-2GD)
1639589435360.png
1639589536220.png
Perfect conditions and perform better than GTX 760. The card was used in the office so it looks great
t is also quieter, more durable than many new cards and it runs low temperatures in a decent airflow case.
Two big fans. Gold plated HDMI. Cooper VR cooler. Top-quality build reinforced board!
This card is higher but not as long as the 3 fans OC version.
I advise a good quality PSU with 350 Watts or more.
It has Samsung memory which can usually OC +800 Mhz without any voltage changes.
Perfect conditions GTX 670 2GB and perform better than GTX 760.
Great choice up to 1080p.
This card will do a 130FPS average in Fortnite PRO settings epic view distance if paired with a decent CPU. £75 from eBay.

Yeah GTX 670 it is actually better then GTX 760 'tho maybe depends of the card model.....that particular Gigabyte model is cool but be aware 350W-400W PSU is probably not going to be enough I mean depends of the rest of your configuration but those 600 series are power hungry and often can have really high power spikes....

ASUS Nvidia GeForce GTX 760, 3 GB. PCI Express I do not know how no overclock so no. He has it at 80 pounds make an offer. Used. One owner. Has been in PC since original purchase.”It works fine, selling because I've upgraded.1639591490044.png

No another over-budget one.

That's what I feel, it looks retro.:) And I have not seen one like it, I would like to see a review if that exact modal see the power is 170w I have a 500w PSU so that should be ok.:) I get you.

7870 is the same as the R9 270X and the R9 370X, so that design was relevant for a very long time. It may be that the driver support is much better for the 7870 than for the 660ti as a result.

So the two are on quite the same level in terms of length of support. The difference however is in the quality of that support up to the point of discontinuation. Specifically, as this is an XP machine, for DX9-11.

As far as relevance of the design, consider the fact that since Kepler, Nvidia has been on the same basic architecture, and it extends across every product stack top to bottom from that point onwards. GCN is not quite the same deal and the approach to driver regime has changed several times since the 7870 got released.

In a general sense, in terms of age/architecture, if you can snag something Maxwell-gen, that would be very preferable, from a 960 and up. 760 is meh, but probably better than a 660ti, worth 10 quid on top.
For AMD, I would rather look at an RX480. If the price doesn't exceed 100, its probably worth it.

Would suggest R9 290X just old enough to not be desirable to miners and scalpers, but still fairly fast. On Ebay.co.uk theres a number of them that have sold in your price range in the past.

The R9 290X is equal to R9 390X and faster than the RX 480.

Another possibility is the GTX 780 3GB.

Ohh stay away from the 3GB version, it was an OEM card. Lower clocks, slower than the 660ti afaik.
Ok, thanks for that. :)What about the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 (SAMSUNG 2048 MB) (GV-N670WF2-2GD) ?

Maybe you can look for 7950 or 7970 they are still better then GTX 670 and in the same price range or just few bucks more......
