Keep the driver installation file that you have, download display drivers uninstaller, run it to uninstall ALL the previous drivers, reboot, and install the driver file that you have saved off.

If this doesn’t work, your card may be going bad.

sry... didn't mention...

i already used DDU in safe mode and then after that in normal mode i did a fresh dirver install with just graphic drivers checked

with any other nvidia driver i tried so far the driver installation doesn't run through and system crashes down and the only thing i can do is to reboot windows in safe mode and remove the display drivers (DDU)

Pull the card out, clean the PCIe contact of the card with rubbing alcohol, as well the PCIe slot of the motherboard with compressed air. Reinsert card.

You said this is a test system. Did you have Windows 10 reinstalled? That would be the next step. If none of this works, card could be dying.

Also, have you tried a different PCIe slot?

i've got the titan black from a friend, because it wasn't working, when he switched from Win7 to Win10. so the card did't work in another pc with win10 (with win7 the card worked)

in the test system was a fresh win10 with the 560 Ti, i just removed the 560 Ti, used DDU and plug in the titan black

should i nevertheless try to reinstall win10??

here's what i found through google and what i tried so far:

So you did download the correct drivers from Nvidia site for Windows 10 (and not relying on Windows 10 to auto download for you)?

So the card works for sure with Windows 7 just recently, or has it been in storage where it was working with Windows 7 previously?

the legacy drivers can't be installed

i downloaded the drivers from the nvidia archive (nvidia.de) with the TITAN Black selected

i'm not sure, if the card would still work on win7...

In english please.

Probably bad install media. Btw that driver i specified is for 10, and iirc 10 doesnt like the 68 chipset either.

This sounds like the card is screwed.

The clocks in that gpu z screenshot are not very hopeful. Those are the clocks you get after an OC breaks down into a TDR event. Its a safe mode, not the idle clock you would expect...

Code 43 is a tell tale sign that card should be tossed

Same issue of error code 43 in Windows 7? Then the card is dead. Must have been damaged somehow during transit or storage. Probably good to keep as a backup as it can still display VGA though.

What's the history of the card, have you just purchased it? Was it used for mining? What bios did you try to flash on to it, link or upload it here pls
