Having problems with the BIOS for my friends RX 570

Hello, last year I upgraded my friends computer so she could play games that wouldn't run with her old graphics card. We got an "ASUS AMD Radeon RX 570 ROG STRIX OC Graphics Card 4GB GDDR5 1300MHz RGB" from ebay but after some online discussion and research, it appears that the card was used for mining and they had changed the BIOS. The drivers would not install in any way.

In the end, all I had to do was run this little file that I found linked to on a discussion board and it fixed the issue completely. It reset the BIOS or something. I think that discussion board was this one but I can't remember and I can't find it and I want to cry.

I've now had to reinstall windows on this computer (separate issue but sorted!). And I have the same issue but I can't find this little file that fixed the graphics card. Does anyone know where I could get this?

Hello, thank you for the reply. I tried that and downloaded it, on running though all it said was "Failed to locate driver file" so I'm not sure if that was the one. People are saying about changing the bios on it which makes sense to do if it was used for mining before, but I did get the card working fine before fine. Now after wiping the computer I can't get it going again and all this bios stuff is way too much for my brain.

Well, if you received the message : "Failed to locate driver file", then you need to install first the AMD driver for your video card.
Then you can patch it.
Please be so kind and run GPU-z and put a picture here.

The driver was already installed, apparently it was the version of that file you linked. That one didn't work but I searched around and found version 1.4.10 and that did it! Also had to install the drivers again, then run the file again, then install again, then run the file again.... and finally it worked! Don't know why you have to go through all that but I've read about other people doing it to get it going.
