Greetings all,

I am in a bit of a pickle. I need to choose a wifi card type E for motherboard: Asrock B760M Pro RS/D4. Here is the QVL list on Asrock's support page:

Screenshot 2025-02-24 134815.jpg

I am not much of a "network" person, but as far as I get it: CNVio / CNVio2 are not backwards compatible. Yet both are listed.

Which card would you pick? I see "Killer" I think it must be good, yes?? :)

Not an expert as well on "network" but I would suggest an AX210.
The "killer" models are simply the AX with extra features in software and very minor differences I believe.
Unless you have specific needs, you won't notice much a difference in daily normal use.

My laptop has the Killer AX1650x, works well I suppose. Never really had any issues with it. I would do some searching and see if the Intel BE200 WiFi 7 card works though. Probably will.

No specific needs, I mainly use the BT for some MS mice I have, headset and transferring files from the phone. The WiFi is backup only as the PC uses LAN connection.

That might as well be my choice. I saw it on Aliexpress and the price is very manageable ~€24 or so. Card is sorted, now off to find antennae. :)

Check which ones have issues, as several Intel solutions have various issues, many aren't working well with some Broadcom WiFi chips in routers, as an example.
Avoid WiFi 7 for now, as there are loads of extra issues with those.

First I'm hearing of this? My router is an old Wi-FI 5 (ASUS RT-AC68U), but I haven't had issues with the BE200 yet. What's up? :)

I got this one for my ASRock motherboard and it's been working fine with Intel WiFi & BT drivers ver23.40. If needed you don't have to use the backplate and can take out the antenna ports to mount if you already have built in motherboard i/o panel holes for antenna ports. I didn't want to take my motherboard apart (lazy) and just used it as pictured.

AX210NGW DTK WiFi Card WiFi 6E Supports 6GHz, 2230, 2x2 AX+BT 5.3+Tri-Band, Includes RF Cable (11 inch), 5dBi High Gain Antennas and Low-Profile Brackets

That might be why, as people appear to be having problems with the BE cards with WiFi 7 routers.
The Broadcom thing was more a general Intel WiFi issue that's been known for years.

My be200 card is a nightmare I’m on number 2 for JUST Bluetooth and it needs to be reset all the time. Even ran Linux for awhile and it was the same deal. As of late I have considered a third times the charm and simply going with another chipset all together.

Dang. I gotta look into it, if possible might swap it out when I get around my rebuild (when/if my 5090 arrives, given the situation).

The biggest issue with WIFI 7 is it does not work with Windows 10.
