So this isn't something that's gonna happen because it would have had to be implemented from the start, but I'd love if system specs followed posting history. As in if I go to an old post I'd see that users system specs as it was when the post was posted, not what it is now. I was troubleshooting something recently and ended up on this forum and the thread was relavent but the user wrote "See system specs for details" and it was the system specs as is now, so the thread wasn't as helpful as it might have been.

Again a bit useless to implement late in the game, but still.

But then anyone who got outdated or no system specs when they make a post would be stuck with false information forever. Also not ideal I'd say.

Hmm, a while ago I was thinking the same thing. A solution off the top of my head:

1. Make the inclusion of your current specs (at the moment of thread creation) mandatory.
2. Add the option to automagically include a text dump of the current system specs in the post. Could be a simple as checkbox next to the Post button or a button to do it manually in the editor.

This way the lazy ones can remain lazy and still have a copy of the specs included for history's sake.
