Fan Control Doesnt Work : (

try hitting ctrl + shift + 1

to turn on max fan off and on. it may not work, but it does work for some Lenovo laptops, if that doesn't work then try "fn + 1" if you have a FN key.

Your last option can be buying a laptop coolingpad.

Fan Control Doesnt Work : (
I tried Fan Control on my HP notebook today & it couldn't see any sensors or the fan. Sorry about that, I had some hope for it since it works so nice on my desktops.

Can you change it from bios? Even my laptop with no fan has a fan control in bios.

Also you could try this:
  1. Open “Control Panel” and click on “Hardware and Sound,” and then “Power Options.” A new window will appear.
  2. Click “Change Plan Settings,” and then “Change Advanced Power Settings.” The “Power Options” dialog box will appear.
  3. In the “Advanced Settings” tab click on the “Processor Power Management” associated with a plus symbol to open an options submenu.
  4. Select “System Cooling Policy” from the submenu.
  5. Click the down arrow under “System Cooling Policy” to reveal a drop-down menu.
  6. Select “Active” from the drop-down menu to increase the speed of your CPU’s cooling fan.
  7. Click “Apply” and then “OK.”

You can use Power Settings Explorer tool to unlock all the hidden power options if you can't see them by default.
