How long would 500va last on a ups???

Hi guys,

really random question - i'm buying a ups for my home server the power supply is a 300w, i'm wondering how long its going to last, any one got any ideas.

It's got everything on it so i'm just being cautious.

It will probably last for just a few minutes. Long enough for you to save open documents and shut down gracefully. Probably 10 minutes or less. Maybe a little longer with no monitor powered.

I don't know about that brand but I would read some reviews before purchasing. Buying a crappy UPS is almost as bad as buying a crappy power supply in my book.

Yea that depends on how much energy your computer actually uses.

find an old car or marine bat and use that instead of the stock one that comes with the UPS...

under full gaming mode, I can get 30+min :toast:
