Hi.

I am confused.
Do you mean a yellow sign from the card's driver?
Or a yellow light from one of the status lights of the card?

What is the file extension? then look for a mobile app that supports that extension, transfer to CF etc etc

Nevermind this, I see you have the files on the PC but in an unrecognised format, download WinRar to your cell and transfer to your PC

I think there's a bit lost in translation here, he can't get the NIC drivers installed as he has no internet connection, has downloaded the drivers on his cell phone but can't extract them as they are in .RAR format, I could also be 100% off the mark lol

So download winrar in the same way and transfer to the Windows 2000 machine, make sure you download the appropriate version that is supported

The thing is

The yellow light from one of the status lights of the card,
That can mean that the link is active, just, or the speed of the link.

So what you are saying is that you plugged a cable and it didn't connect to the network?
Are you having trouble installing the drivers?

Yellow light means that you are connected at 100Mb and the green led when blinking means you are passing data.

You will have to unzip the driver and then ether write it to a CD or floppy if you have them connected since your old system that has no USB ports by the looks of it. Another way is to write them to a hard drive formatted in fat 16 and then connect it as a second drive to the old system.

For situations like this, I went out and bought a usb floppy drive and CD writer that I use on my new system so I can write to my old systems without USB, it makes life much easier. Also, a floppy interface multi-SD card reader also helps in situations like this as well, you just have to use small sized SD cards for it to work.

not advertising pirate software, but just telling you a little winrar secret, BECAUSE IT COULD HELP YOU.
winrar tells you it has 40 days free trial but then... it just works, yes, showing a popup but works! not like adobe cr*ppy stuff which wil close right on lol when trial is ended.

as wikipedia says, v. 4.11 WinRAR - Wikipedia is latest to support windows 2000. but, to be on safe side, I'd get v. 3.40 etc. Download WinRAR 3.40 for Windows - OldVersion.com

don't forget the FREE 7zip tho!;) 7-Zip - Browse /7-Zip/3.13 at SourceForge.net also old version of course, obviously

Try the putting the NIC in a different PCIe slot and-or try your other card, you might have a bad slot or card.

Or it could be the wrong driver for your card.

Never had any problems when I used Win2000 back in the day. Just had a working onboard/PCI NIC and plugged a RJ45, it worked just like it did with XP.

Though I wouldn't connect even an unpatched Win7 to the internet, even less a XP/2000 machine.

Thanks for that it says they are installed on here but why they don,t work is another thing o_O I do have a external floppy and some internal ones. But this is on another retro board which i have just installed ME.I will give that a try and hope for the best.

I am not sure what you mean i did it directly .Could it be done on XP?Or would that still be the same as if i was doing it on Windows 11? o_O
Still confusing, but can you head here - https://www.7-zip.org/download.html - and download the version 9.20 for 32-bit Windows, transfer it to that computer and then install it?
Then, just right-click the file on the archive and choose '7-Zip' -> 'Extract to...'
Your archive file pic shows a size of 1.36KB, I doubt it contains any drivers.
I don't know if you know, but files used to be in the 100s to 1000s of Bytes, in the late 90's. A megabyte was as "big" as a gigabyte is considered now.
Most hard drives didn't reach 100GB in capacity.
