How to remove power supply cable from motherboard?

Recently bought a new PSU but while unplugging the power cable to the motherboard before installing the new one, I got a little stuck. The cable won't come out. Instead of absolutely ruining the cable I decided to ask here first

I've never had a cable get stuck so I can't help you there but I can help you by telling you to blow the dust out of your PC before you reassemble everything (if this is what it looks like still inside your PC) and blow it out at least twice a year from now on.

Check all visible parts of the connector and all the wires to see if there are any signs of melting.

Push the pin on the top, and try to wiggle the whole connector left and right (along the long sides). Always works for me.

Yeah it is a little dusty but most of the dust you see in the picture is just because of the flash of the camera

I wouldn't say "a little".

That amount of dust (especially in the CPU cooler) is really not good.

Dude, the cpu cooler is totally cloaked. It's basically a passive cooler at this stage.
