I have this annoying black semi circle thingy on my phone. It cannot be captured by screenshot. I am on Nokia C21 plus running Android 11.

That's the issue? Get a phone without a notch or cutout or teardrop or island if you don't like it I guess.

You can just put a black border at the top bezel to blend in with the camera so it literally looks like the screen bezel going all the way across, not sure what the setting is called, will likely be different on different brands

Try typing in bezel or notch into your settings I'm not familiar with modern Nokia phones though I belive they are close to stock android

The thing is, I did remove it on other phones before but forgot wtf it is somehow. Anyway, seems like it's not so straightforward to toggle it on this phone. Anybody know better?

Notification bar perhaps? It's just a different colour, there's an option to turn it black to blend in with the teardrop front camera

Nah, looks like it needs dev mode to toggle that. Magisk apparently works but in dev mode too. Guess I'm stuck with it :(

Is there a Search function in the Settings? If yes, search for "Hide camera notch" or "Hide camera cutout" if your phone is in English.

Otherwise, yes, there should be a "Simulate cutout" setting inside the dev options.

If you can't find it in your phone's settings, then you can try third-party apps like Natcho Notch.
My old Nokia 8 had a punchhole camera and if memory serves me right, it had this option in stock firmware. I've heard they had some issues with google and had to remove it for awhile, but I assumed they've already made a workaround or something... apparently not.
