Well up until my last build (June) I used to literally just dirty copy my User Folder and just copy it back. All my programs icons etc were just bread crumbs to reassemble. Didn’t work for me this time because it created a new account despite me using the same creds so I basically resorted to just taking the essentials from App Data to get my more important stuff back tho I of course could have just copied it all into or just changed the path....
But this has been my lazy dirty way since at least 7.

I wanna transfer all files, even settings. They are business user profiles.
When I tried to transfer to new PC, it doesnt show the user profile when the PC starts up.

Yeah I suppose under certain admin conditions my trick may be impossible but I do have hidden files shown and I do it in safe mode just to keep it as “clean” as possible. This time I just ended up with 2 folders one new and empty and my old one. it was time for me to stop it was getting close to 100GB of years of doing it. I just grabbed app data files that contained information and settings I needed and just copied my photos etc.

This one looks promising:

Exporting to a temporary folder, then importing to a newly created account (saves the troubles of messing with MS registry and other dirty hacks)

Can you actually do that though? Maybe clone the C:\ partition.
