HP PC post issue

Dear forum members,

I have a weird post issue with an HP 800 G2 tower PC computer. More specifically the PC suffers from intermittent posting, that is while it powers on it does not always post an image. I have tried various remedies, including updating the BIOS to the latest version, switching RAM sticks and trying different RAM slots, removing the graphics card, etc. The issue remains and I am at loss. What is even more strange is that when it does post, the system runs without issue. At this point, the culprit might be the power supply but since it comes with proprietary connections, I cannot change it for another.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Well, you can change but you would need to ensure it too is proprietary and compatible. Since EVERYTHING inside the computer depends on good, clean, stable power, and since these are failing PSU symptoms, you may need to, at least have that PSU tested by a qualified technician if you don't want to gamble and just buy a compatible replacement supply and hope that fixes the problem.
