I purchased 2 RX 580s that came of OEM HP computer, this was purchased at 2 different times from two different people. Both claim they came out of working computers. I know one of them came out of a HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 6900-0024.

Everything works fine until I install the driver then I start getting a black flickering screen(you can never seen the desktop, different shades of black) and sometimes a restart with a blue screen error message stop code: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE What failed: atikmpag.sys. Sometimes it will boot all the way to the login screen before it black screens, I can enter safe mode and BIOS.

I have tried letting windows install the drivers, I have used DDU in safe mode to clear the drivers and install drivers directly from AMD none of this worked. I also cleared these drivers with DDU and tried drivers from HP website and this didn't work either. I have tried disabling on board graphics as well. When on board is enable I can use it to boot the computer and see the RX 580s in the device manager and I used GPU-Z and everything looks normal. I have also tried different cables, all ports on GPU and different monitors. Also tried fresh install of Windows 10 PRO and Home on different SSDs.

My RX 570 and GTX 750 TI works without any issues.

I am using a I5 9600k, Gigabyte Z390 I Aorus Pro, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200Mhz, Integra 450W 80+ Bronze.
I have also tried the same I5 9600k, AsRock H310M, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200Mhz(different set), FSP Group Flex ATX 80 Plus Gold 400W

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it, I have been working on this issue for days now.

your trying to crossfire on a 450 watt psu?
have you tried running them one at a time too see if one is not working and crashing the driver?

I need you to take pictures of the white stickers on the back of the card, sometimes those stickers are found on the side of the graphics card heatsink, post pics here.

Get a GPU-Z screenshot, post it here too.

Not crossfiring, I have two cards doing the exact same thing. I have been trying to use them individually.

I have literally download every driver from amd, from HP, updated through device manager and tried the Windows update for the driver and none of them have worked. Exact same thing every time. Tried different ssds with fresh windows install, tried legacy and UFEI still nothing.

Id grab a bigger psu.

Also id recommend getting electronic grade contct cleaner from crc or wd40, get a tube of arctic mx4 thermal compound. Take the card out of case and take it apart and clean the heatsink and fan thoroughly, spray clean the pcb with the contact cleaner. Clean gpu die and heatsink by removing all thermal compound. Apply fresh compound to gpu die, remount heatsink. Boot it up.

Id reflash the bios on your 580 with this one

I have took it apart and replaced the paste, everything look good and it was clean when I got it.

I have tried that bios and it just tells me it's the same bios the card already has.

You honestly think it could be the power supplies? Ohh I forgot to mention I also tried a 500w thermaltake 80+ PSU.

You will need to force flash it

Change the psu, get a reputable unit from seasonic. 600 watt.

Well that's a problem because this was supposed to go in a itx build that requires a flex PSU and I have already spent $95 on the FPS 400w 80+ Gold.

I did some research and the PC that it came out of had a 400w PSU..

I figured out how to solve and just set the fan manually and download a little bit of the frequency of the memories by the drive
