HWinfo 1.0V VOUT Voltage reading up to 1.8v is this normal ?

Hello everyone, can anyone help by taking a look at your reading in HWinfo scroll down to "DDR5 DIMM [#1] (BANK 0/Controller1-DIMMB2)" or your equivalent and watch the reading for "1.0V VOUT Voltage" , do some activity like scrolling a web page and post your numbers.

I tried bios default setting and XMP setting ( current ) both have the same reading for this particular field ( 0.990 then straight to 1.8 ).

oh good question. I'm on DDR5 right now. Haven't taken a look at running DDR4 yet.

I isolated the "problem" to be RAM related , changed to different brand and the voltage became 1.005v , then changed to new set of the same exact brand and the symptom of voltage spike happened in the same way, I'll send a ticket to Corsair support to see what'll they suggest, maybe Corsair have custom-made power delivery circuit that HWinfo can't read it properly.

That is a possibility. I'll put in my Corsair memory and see what it reads today.

I use a kit of Corsair Dominator Platinum's 6000Mhz DDR5, did you read my post? As I said before, they stay at 1.005V....

Yes , thanks for your feedback, I didn't mean all of corsair DDR5 have this issue but even a new set of the same product : Corsair VENGEANCE have the same problem, on the other hand I tried other brands on my PC : OLOY and AORUS DDR5 sticks and both of their voltage were 1.005v.

So I tried the 5 Corsair kits I have on hand, none exbibit this problem. All read 0.995-1.005v. Enabled XMP as well just to see if it might be RGB related. I'm not sure what 1.0 VOUT is. clearly memory related though.

i had my HWInfo running for almost 30 hours now:
lowest was 0.995V highest 1.005V (just like ir_cow)

My Corsair reads 0.990 V. Although, my 1.8 V reading jumps between 1.32 V and 1.95 V (due to EXPO and/or reading error, I suppose). DDR5 is too new to me - I don't know what these readings mean.

This question is probably best asked at HWInfo64 forums, only Martin could explain this best.

But from what I've read, some DDR5 may have unstable readings. But I'm not certain if it's the DIMM or the program.

Thanks ShrimpBrime , I got an answer from Martin (HWiNFO Author) :

"This is unfortunately a monitoring problem observed on some DDR5 modules. The memory voltage should be stable but due to the limited design of DDR5 PMIC circuits (more precisely their ADC), monitoring of some voltages sometimes gives incorrect results. I have spent a lot of time trying to tweak this but it seems impossible to come up with a method that would work properly for all modules/PMICs."
