As far as wristrests goes I have always found the shape of the Corsair ones to be among one of the best for comfort especially since my desk (Ikea Jerker desk) has a little curved section cut out of it in the middle where the operator sits. I have tried wrist rests from Grifiti, Fellowes and 'Glorious PC Gaming Race'

Some were either too thick and too 'fat' to support my wrists at an angle comfortably in the same way the Corsair one does.

I havent had a corsair keyboard for years now but I still have one of their wrist rests they sent me when i told them that i wasnt at all satisfied that i paid out $80 in total on shipping fees having to RMA a keyboard with dead LEDs 3 times in less than 6 months and they agreed to send me out a spare wrist rest that i liked so much and full reimbursement of shipping fees.

So a corsair wrist rest with some adhesive rubber pads/feet stuck to the bottom of it is what i use with my Ducky Shine III

In an era where higher-end mechanical keyboards are expected to have a software driver and RGB lighting

I have to admit I appreciate RGB lighting on my keyboard. But not because of fancy effects (why does like half the driver need to deal with those?), but because that way I can actually set the lighting the way i want it. In my case, that's two presets, same color everywhere. I tend to use one more during daytime and the other one more at night. For the asking money, I'd rather have RGB lighting, even though, if the lighting isn't configurable, you'll still adjust to it as long as it's not some crazy, bleed your eyes out color.

It depends. For a keyboard that already costs north of $100, you're 100% right. For less expensive things (e.g. fans), I'd rather not pay the extra $5-10 just turn the leds off. I want an option/SKU that comes without leds at all.

Sitting here with G513....seems like it's more alloy than all kingston keyboards combined. :/

Half as much: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/ACC-Series/ACC-Color/pbt-config/p/CH-9000235-WW, but also note that the CORSAIR ones have seamless doubleshot injected legends and come in two color options. Whether that is worth the extra price or not is up to the individual, but not for me.
