CPU: Ryzen 5 7500F
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M
PSU: FSP 650W Bronze+ (12V, around 640W)

I am currently gaming at 1080p and will continue for about a year. Later I plan to buy a 2K monitor.

I am considering the RX 7700 XT or RX 7800 XT but I am concerned about potential bottlenecks. Which GPU should I prefer?

I cant change PSU because I new buy

Any of those, I wouldn't care about bottlenecks.

That combo should work. I game myself in whqd with a similar setup. 7600X / 2x32GiB DRAM / x670 board / 7800xt hellhound / 750w gold psu.

I would not have bought a 650W psu in 2024 & 2025. I would not have bougt a bronze psu.
7500f / 7600 / 7600x are considered myself as equal in performance.

I'm happy with my low "Freesync Range" of my Asus pa278qv monitor. I usually game in the freesync mode with ~45-75 fps locked. I would not recommend getting a high fps monitor with that setup in WHQD or higher resolution.

Since you have an AMD system I would go with a AMD GPU 7800Xt would be good.

I wouldn't concern yourself too much with avoiding bottlenecks because you can't accomplish that due to how PCs and software work. There is always a bottleneck on every PC. Only worry about it if you want more performance and need to make an upgrade.

The usual recommendation is to choose the fastest option within your budget. If that is the 7800 XT, then choose the 7800 XT. I do think there's a time and a place of choosing a lesser option to save money, and this would be a good example of that because a 7700 XT would also be fine to choose (well, it really depends on the price spread), but the fact that you mentioned upgrading to a 1440p display in a year would have me leaning towards going for the 7800 XT. While the 7700 XT wouldn't fall apart at that resolution, the 7800 XT would fare better, and for longer.

Out of the 2 cards, no doubt everyone's going to pick the better of the two... the 7800 XT!! If you're playing graphically demanding games at high quality settings, then get the best GPU your budget can buy. If these are less demanding titles like fortnite/valorant/etc... the 7700 XT will be plenty for 1440p.
