Well first I will say I have never owned RGB hardware before. My TUF X99 was made right before the RGB everything trend showed up. However after a week with this MSI X399 board I have fell for RGB. They surely are beautiful, and not in an intrusive way I have always pictured in my head (super bright and flashy)

On top of that the lab PI seems to really like the RGB as well (He actually configured everything to be spectrum mode after I showed him how-to). The rest of his grad students loved it, apparently most of them are console gamers and have never owned a good spec DIY PC.

It will be a while until the TItan V show up. Maybe I will get to "benchmark and stress test" it before putting it to actual work---protein modeling.

I guess for whatever I upgrade next I will be joining the RGB side. haha

Already turned when I demoed my HTC Vive. Now they know it can be pretty as well as powerful.

When we were at the Micro center last week one of the girls bought one of these. So far she is super satisfied. Just the beginning of getting more of them to join PC master race.

I don't know why people knock it. I just don't like that if you get one piece of RGB gear, you feel compelled to do the whole thing. Can't half-ass it.

I could not resist the dark side either. Did consider a Kraken X62... settled for strips instead.

And they are addressable so I set them for temperature targets - going from cold to warm colors, separated between blue > purple > red for CPU and green > yellow > red for GPU.

I wanted to get one of those when they were doing the R&D on that model(not the pink tho). There are several different types with that old round typewriter button style. Azio is an amazing company ,with some pretty cool products. I have their MGKRGB keyboard ,which is extremely high-quality. Support is replace entire product with bnib for ANY issue... and I mean any issue. If the cable on that keyboard your coworker got began to fray a little bit, azio would replace the entire keyboard with a brand new one
