The 2010 batman game on Steam/PC, I need help unlocking the fps cap on it. I have done it before in the past, I remember editing two ini files, then you have to go back in and go to properties and set it to read only for the two files you change .ini files in.

So, I know high refresh works in this game, the problem is I forgot the right combination to pull this off. there is the usual defaultengine file, you edit that ctrl find "smooth" and it will take you to the fps area of the ini settings, and then i change it from 62 max fps to 242 max fps to match my monitor, but the problem is I can't remember what to set the minimum or if I am supposed to change the bsmooth feature from TRUE to FALSE or not... I have tried a bunch of combinations, but none of them seem to be working, the game crashes as soon as I try to go past the menu screen.

any help welcome. because this game is amazing at high refresh... bleh, can't believe i forgot how to do it... and yes i already googled it and tried all the steps recommended from those. so frustrating...

the problem is there are a bunch of places to edit the smooth frame cap of 62 and change it to 242, and yes i have tried it on all of them and changed them all to read only, etc. nothing works, so i am missing the right combination...

sorry I cant help you but BAA is the shet. best game next to crysis imo which was a huge step forward in gameplay.

I would just sit and play combat challenges. I had very high scores. I would sit all day just going for a PR with those. sewer rat extreme 275k, jungle extreme 170k, shock and awe extreme 119k if I remember correctly. that game had tons of bugs. I had broken many keyboards from frustrations. [punching it, buttons flying everywhere hahaha

I don't know if you are into using mods or not, but if you are, there is some neat mods on nexusmods. If you play in 4K, the textures packs are very great and "Batman Arkham Asylum - Advanced Launcher" will remove the need to play in the *.ini files.
