Hey guys.

I have a Lenovo 5202-14ikb from 2016 and for about 3 years it has been presenting very worrying temperature problems.

At rest it usually reaches 60-70 degrees Celsius (With only Edge Chromiun, LoL Client and Spotify open).
I have been limiting the processor with ThrottleStop for years between 19 and 24 Mhz.
I have replaced the thermal paste (unfortunately not of very good quality) and the situation only changes for a few hours, then it presents problems again.

What would you recommend me to do in my case?

What would you recommend
Use ThrottleStop 9.6

What thermal paste did you use? Genuine Honeywell PTM 7950 is the latest paste of choice for some laptop owners.

A CPU that is reaching 91°C at only 9.1 Watts of power consumption is telling you that you have a cooling problem. There is no point in trying to come up with some different ThrottleStop settings until you fix your cooling problem. Change the paste. Find a paste that works well for your laptop.

I prefer checking the Speed Shift box in the TPL window. This enables Speed Shift Technology. You can adjust the Speed Shift Max box to control your CPU speed when Speed Shift is enabled.

High C0% when idle at the desktop is a sign of too much crap running in the background. Open the Task Manager and see if there are any tasks running that you really do not need. Bloat ware running in the background all of the time will create unnecessary heat.

Thx for your reply!

Its optimal to try a Liquid metal one?

Formatted the pc yesterday. I only installed the essentials and an unattended windows.

If you enabled Speed Shift, Set Multiplier no longer works. Adjust the Speed Shift Max value in the TPL window instead.

Artic MX-4
Everyone with thermal problems seems to be using that paste. It is garbage when used direct die on mobile CPUs.
