Correct me if I am wrong but if I say SLI, then you'll say nForce 4, right?
Not for long because Intel early next year will have the 975X chipset out which will also allow for dual graphics - both Nvidia, as well as ATI cards. THG reports that the chipset will be ready for the "Presler" cores (D900 with 65nm architecture) and that it will support both SLI from Nvidia and ATI's "Crossfire" technology. Initial impressions are that the 975X are "much more capable than especially Nvidia may have expected."
Although Crossfire isn't officially out, board manufactures have been indicating mid-September of this year as a possible launch date. As for the 975X, expect to see it around February of 2005.
