Intel's Core Ultra 200 "Arrow Lake" Desktop CPUs have been listed by Canadian Retailers ahead of launch and start at $330 US.

Personally I think the top tier is overpriced but I will wait for websites to review it and decide which route I'm going. a bit disappointed at the price increase but who knows yet maybe by release other sellers will have better prices.

Yes I'm not sure why Intel decided to charge $120 more for the Ultra 9 285K then for the Intel Core i9-14900K There had better be a huge bump in performance but I don't think its enough to justify the price increase. Oh well now I will wait for real benchmarks from sites like this one.

PC Canada's "leaks" have always been pretty high. I'd wait for, y'know, an actual retailer that people go to.

But it's probably not way off the mark.

600-650 depending on how it performs would be my guess in USD.

I mean the 11900k was 539+ so it won't be cheaper than that pile of shite....

They already know what the 9950X is and what it cost if it's 50 usd cheaper than it I doubt it's gonna be all that mind blowing performance wise.

Disaggregation and all that, I'd forgive the higher price on a technical level. It's about the most innovation we've seen from Intel in a long while, lol.

Still not saying I'd buy the U9

just that I can understand a bit of a price hike

the 7 looks great actually... i've never bought the 9s they're always not worth imo

Just overclock the 7 and spend the remaining money on things that really impact performance, like custom keyboard caps.

My issue with the i7 is how intel castrates the cache with each step down although some of that can be made up by just running faster ram.

Value wise sure though the i5/i7 have been the clear winners. I just wish E cores would die lol.

Current 14900k is going for $629. So its not outside the realm of possibility.
