That's the challenge, isn't it? Cases can cost less than 100USD due to volume and re-use of certain stampings across models. However, that economy of scale results in very similar-looking designs. So we end up with a classic two-out-of-three question: Well-made, unique/innovative, inexpensive. Pick any two. It's pretty clear what Inwin chose here.

The beige elements hit my nostalgia hard. But honestly, I'd still buy a cheap, used but still nice beige box if I was going to go for a sleeper build.

I'm probably one of the few people here (or anywhere, for that matter) that enjoys building IKEA furniture, and so I dig the idea of building your own PC case in addition to building the PC itself, so kudos to InWin for yet again thinking outside the box. That said...the fact that this case has virtually no form of cable management is an absolute deal-breaker for me. Like, even your most basic case at least has some kind of cable management, even if its just a couple cutouts. I also don't like all the plastic found on this case, but I guess it is what it is.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I despise ITX enclosures that have full size ATX psu support.. I get it, I really do, they are cheaper, more available, you probably have one around already, but if you go mini ITX it means you want small, and ATX PSU's aren't really small. And because of the support for it, the case gets bigger as well. It's contradictiory and I hate it.
Kinda weird thing to get pissed about but it just drives me nuts...

The intro looked promising. But the further you go, the more InWin once again shines as an overpriced, form over function company.

Unique, sure. But also pretty useless. A Window, an enclosure, so we get to see things inside a box... why not an open design altogether? After all, the dust filter on top won't prevent the same dust going in through those *major gaps* surrounding the window. Also, the 'cage'... is plastic? Faraday is not happy.

Logic, where is it. Form over function or design aesthetic is also not helped by that single mesh on top, its an ugly wart compared to the rest of the item. But that might just be a trademark of InWin, there is always an element that someone on LSD added on friday evening.

And then there is 140 bucks for that merry mix of misses.

I was hearing some comments around me about how gaming is supposedly a childish hobby, even in 2020 still.
So I just thought I would lean into that when I saw the Vortex Race 3 keyboard and managed to collect a desktop set to match.

This colorful InWin Explorer case would make it complete!
Just considering if I really should discard my stealthy out-of-sight and optimized NZXT H1 build to maximize the Fisher Price Factor of my setup...
