Sweet. How's the new iPad been working out for you? I have an M1 iPad Air, so I'd have to upgrade to an iPad Pro if I want a real difference, lmao.

Never used iPads since iPad 2. iOS and iPad OS, unfortunately, don't support the only reasonable Telegram app so I don't consider them. How does this bad boy fare by the way?

Know your question probably wasn't directed at me, but I'll answer anyways since I have nothing better to do RN, lmao. My M1 iPad Air has been more than sufficient for most of my needs. I mainly use it to play mobile games on the side while I do other things on my laptop/PC, and the M1 SoC is plenty for that. I like the iPad so much that I've considered switching to one full-time in place of my laptop, though that's not necessarily the best idea since I'm a computer science student and have heard that coding is a huge pain on an iPad. Also, if I were to switch to an iPad, I'd have to get a better keyboard for it, which would be an extra expense. I'd be able to sell my laptop, though, which would make up for that expense and then some...

If you couldn't tell, I'm thinking out loud here.

while the iPad is a great machine, it is not quite a laptop… yes you can replace a laptop, but it is best to just get an apple laptop, instead of an iPad mainly because on the laptop easy to open many windows and run “any” software. i am not knocking the iPad i use one all the time to surf the web…

an M1 cpu in it, will last forever.
will not need to replace it, unless you get tired if it… the iPad pro won’t get “tired”

on a M series iPad, IMO anything written for a m4 will work on a m1. and the M1 iPad have 8G ram …)
i have a iPad pro 9.7. (a9x) and it is really slow.)
i want the new iPad air with the m2, but don’t have the money for it… and the m4 one, at almost double is kinda out of reach

Got an iPad Pro 2021 (M1) 11" 128GB about 2.5years ago.
Primarily used for gaming, and also videos and some browsing.
Doesn't show any signs of tiredness running things, battery still going good.
I dont see replacing it any time soon.

Its my 3rd iPad after Mini2 7.9" and a entry level 2018 9.7"
I'm considering never buying anything else again than a Pro
