Is it dead pixel on my screen ?

I bought the LG 23mp67hq about 5 days ago, now I see this on my screen. Is it the dead pixel or smudge (dust) on AG coat ?

It looks to me like those two pixels are deformed--they're not as big as they're supposed to be. Try solid color red, green, then blue. See which colors, if any show the issue.

Most warranty returns require 8 dead pixels or more. I see two. Like I said, try the different colors. I think they're deformed and not technically dead; on that technicality, you may be able to RMA it.

This program worked for 1 of 2 monitors that had similar issues for me. It may fix those if you want to try and avoid the RMA process. It really shouldn't do that 2 weeks into owning it though.......

Green is interesting. The one on the right seems to be able to handle green weakly but not Red. Looks like you have 1.5 dead pixels. I'd contact LG. The retailer probably won't take it back with only 1.5 dead pixels. Seeing how it covers multiple colors, I doubt exercising it would fix it.

They're both effectively dead on blue.

I'd contact where you bought it from first to see if they'll do an exchange. LG probably won't do it:

I am in Vietnam. I bought it from a computer company. They said that to their all selling products" exchange a new product if it get problem within one months" I dont know, I should contact them .

it is located on center of screen . I contacted to RMA and they didn't accept it I want to throw it out.

Yeah, I massaged for it as I did for my wife and also tried the pixel fixer and now it is going to disappear.

I'd wanna throw that out too. It's absolutely maddening right in the middle of the screen and manufacturers often take the location into consideration as well as the number of faulty pixels.

Glad it's better, but I don't want you to be under the potential false hope that it's going to disappear completely. That pixel is still faulty, so it's possible that it can come back even worse sometime down the line, unfortunately. Best to expect the worst so it can only be the same or better than your expectation.

Deformed pixels or dust/dirt in the screen. Around the edges, meh. Central area, it drives me nuts since I use Gimp / Photoshop from time to time.

i can send you a photo of my screen, its 8 years old but has about few hundreds of dead pixels etc. and i dont complain.
in no way im voting for broken/defective products im just saying you can live with 2 dead pixels.

I have a screen with hundreds dead also, but it's just the upper 2 corners and along the top edge. They are all various colors, kinda weird.
