Hi

I have the monitor Koorui GN10 . I enabled HDR mode but this mode disable color manipulation in the OSD menu. I tried to search in AMD adrenaline for a feature like this but I could not find any so is there a way to adjust RGB values in this monitor ? the white is a little reddish

Thanks

Besides individual color grading, white not being white can be altered/adjusted with temperature.
Do you have any windows settings related to nigh light?

Typical temperature is around 6000~6500K (depending the monitor)
Sun light is 5500K
Fluorescent light is 4200K
Incandescent light is 2700K
Candle light is 1900K

Below that 6000~6500K white starts to turn reddish.
Above that white starts to turn blueish.

All my home lights are 2700~3000K because anything above that is bad for humans after sunset.
5000-7000K lights are for working places where people need to stay energetic.

I'm not using the windows setting but a dedicated app with more options

These are my settings for desktop applications. When videos and games go full screen automatically color is set to "Daytime" setting

Yes it was in the middle so I move it to the far left at 0 but contrast is a little weak I think because HDR is on

Cant you adjust contrast from monitor settings?

Monitor does not let me adjust brightness but only contrast because of HDR on I assume.
So I have a standard setting of brightness on windows display settings (around 40%) and I adjust contrast depending what I do through monitor's quick adjustment between 45 and 60%
Setting contrast differently (45%, 50%, 55%, 60%) affects visual brightness too.

I keep windows settings as such so HDR mode is on only for HDR capable games though. Typically I'm on SDR (Auto HDR off)
And when videos are on full screen also HDR is on.

No when HDR is on both brightness and contrast are disabled. I am also want to make HDR only when gaming or movies but desktop colors are not good also I dont understand how you made it. You are on laptop ?

Even in the Dispay settings in Adreniline? Did you enable GPU scaling?

This is one of the best things about TPU, learning things that were always there. AMD software (if you have an AMD card or APU) is very granular and powerful. Some people are just not used to going into their GPU GUI as for many years Catalyst and Nvidia Control Panel were bereft of those types of things. One of the things about it is it is constantly updating. Now there is a button to optimize your RAM for productivity or Gaming that requires a restart. I wish there was more information in general on it though. As far as I know only Hardware Unboxed has done a deep dive on AMD software and that was years ago.

You can quickly toggle HDR in Windows with Win+Alt+B.

Also you can try the Windows HDR Calibration app from Microsoft.
As with most things with MS, that calibrartion tool is broken. That is probably the worst implementation of HDR. The monitor's HDR settings combined with the GPU GUI ( I am sure you can do the same with Nvidia) are much better than anything Windows has to offer. That is part of the reason I use GPU scaling.

I think you're just making incorrect assertions based on a limited understanding, but thanks for your opinion I guess. :)

Where I can find this ?

You use it to increase performance ?
I would have to load up my HTPC again but I think it is in the tuning tab.

As far as GPU scaling goes I have been using it since my QNIX 1440P Korean monitor. It basically means the GPU controls the monitor and not vice versa. What I see is when I am playing AMS2 at 4K 300+ FPS is still butter smooth even though my monitor only has a 144hz refresh rate.

I think you're just making incorrect assertions based on a limited understanding, but thanks for your opinion I guess. :)

I have tried to use Windowsx HDR with every monitor I have owned and all it did was support the narrative that Windows HDR is broken. All it does is increase the Brightness to make the screen look like a Spotlight is shining on it and the contrast that LED is capable of is gone. Your experience may be different but that is part of the PC experience.
