Is there any way I can cut the function from AMD drivers?

I'm talking that confirmation of screen recording when you activate it for the first time. Today I failed to record an amazing game moment because of it.

Can I somehow sanitise the drivers and make my own build? What do I need to do for that?

The drivers in question are latest WHQL drivers. No legacy or tech preview shenanigans.

And yes, I have ABSOLUTELY EFFIN ZERO HOPE AMD WILL FIX THAT BECAUSE THEY IGNORED 100% MY COMPLAINTS. Have to do on my own.

You can possibly debloat or strip the driver package..(I personally do so, just need the driver package and the Adrenaline Control Center for tuning, though that can be optional, you can grab the MCT otherwise)

Can you rebind the hotkeys in AMD software? maybe that will have some extra effect in that it gets rid of the confirmation prompt. i have seen stranger things with rebinding, so wortha try. i don't know amd even allows rebinding though

As far as I'm aware, Adrenalin allows you to rebind any hotkey.

I can rebind them but this doesn't affect this behaviour.

There are minimal driver packages available but I don't use them as they directly interfere with my overclocking philosophy.

I use this version: 24.9.1

I dont think he is talking about this? His literal first sentence is:

I'm talking that confirmation of screen recording when you activate it for the first time.

Which seems to indicate some kind of pop up you need to say "ok" to.

No keybind, no popup.

Unless you mean the sidebar thing that activates. Make sure there is at least that one confirmation first.

The record/stream software does exactly as intended and it's great to port media over to other capture.
Someday I will be purely using this Radeon software for my scenes, which is wild to think about.

all you need to do is DISABLE TOAST NOTIFICATIONS if you don't want the "Now Recording" and the "Recording Saved" toast notifications to pop up when you activate/deactivate screen recording

if OP is bitching about something that comes up the very first time using screen recording after installing drivers (like some sort of warning/confirmation) .....well.....then I guess they can strive to become a genius overnight to learn how to reprogram GPU driver control panels just to remove one function. or just remember to activate it once in advance. the latter just might be the path of least resistance by comparison lol

I think toast notifications only applies to Windows 10/11 notifications in lower right hand corner, but I would be curious to know if it fixes the problem of the confirmation pop up before a screenshot.

Yes, this is what I'm extra unhappy with. Like I get it, vast majority fatfingers stuff around but I'm qualified for the PC, I don't need this quote-unquote "safety."
or just remember to activate it once in advance
With AMD, you never know how many times you'll do the clean drivers reinstall. Might forget at least once a year. Eh, I guess I'll just get rich and buy myself a GPU next time, not some AMD bullshit.

Why not just add every game to steam, even as a non-steam game, then just hit F12 to do instant screenshot? that's how I always screenshot my games anyway.
