I mostly just game (desktop PC) or sometimes watch movies.
Using a HyperX Cloud III headset (64ohm) with a FIIO KA1 DAC (16ohm) because the USB DAC that HyperX included has some issues making a loud noise whenever the microphone is activated.
Trying to find a way to prevent the headset drivers making a wee "pop" if sounds are abruptly cut or switched, especially at low frequency noises (some games aren't so clean with how they treat their sound and the pops are irritating me). And I wondered if I need a "better" DAC without having to resort to a full blown amp.
I'm aware this might just be a symptom of sine waves getting abruptly "cut" but I want to try and see if I've overlooked any potential solutions
