Is this bottleneck? 3070 ti ryzen 5 3600

I tried to solve the problem for several months but nothing has changed, I have frames drop and low fps in many games. For example, cyberpunk on 1080p ultra settings preset gives 50 fps and it is lower compared to what my friends have or YouTube videos. GPU uaage is low around 55% and the processor is high around 85%. (In low light map, dark places )

But when I play the same game and chose desert map ( high light, sun ), everything become normal.
100fps gpu is 85% and processor is at 84%

Tried fresh install of Windows, same problem.

My monitor is Asus VG278QR 27" 165hz ful hd.
Ryzen 5 3600
Asus tuf 3070 ti
Msi x470 gaming plus
Ram 2×8gb 3000
Samsung evo 860 500gb
Cooler master master liquid 360
Fsp 750w 80+ gold

Maybe come down from Ultra settings just to see what happens?

BTW a friend just showed me Cyberpunk (my first time seeing it in person) on his just installed i9-12900K and 3080. He has ultrawide 1440p monitor and insists on Ultra settings. He was averaging just under 60 fps, in the 50s. I was expecting more from the hardware.

if the GPU usage is low and the processor is pegged on one or more cores and the overall % is higher than the GPU then you are bottlenecked.

Cyberpunk will cap my 12600K at 100% and my GPU usage drops in some areas as well if you have the high crowd density setting enabled.

overall probably 5700x will do much better in cyberpunk for $250 or a ebay 5900x as people are selling them now for like $330-350.

For cyberpunk specifically, it's very thread heavy so more cores will do better with the crowds.

This is my chip at 5.4GHZ running cyberpunk in a crowded area btw. 90% utilization on 16 threads. In this particular title the 12600K is bottlenecking an undervolted 3080 (which isn't far off a 3070ti).

Looks like you're CPU-limited on that 6-core zen 2 - maybe time to get a 5700x 8-core zen 3 on clearance?

btw when you start bouncing off pegged cpu like that, even tho you're pulling 80+ fps it feels choppy. Really the smoothest cpus for this title are the 5900x, 10900, and 5950x

I am still wondering why people on youtube that have the same specs get much higher fps ? But they get same fps when they play on 4k or 2k while I am playing on 1080p.

Change the crowd size to medium in game. (game setting/ not gfx).

Also you will do the same -- if you go to 4k or 2k or 1080P if you're bottlenecked on CPU your FPS won't really change.

They may also have DLSS on.

run a timespy? let's see how your stuff is looking compared to similar setups.

Can you set your power setting to "High Performance" in windoes?

i average @ 53fps with a R5 3600 and a RX 6700 XT in 1440p nearly all maxed, FSR to balanced and no RTX (RTX med 11fps ) 16gb DDR4 3000 B550 mobo (did not change the crowd setting )
GPU usually 100% did not check CPU but nothing high

the bench result is consistant with what i experience in game
1440P FSR balanced


1620p FSR high quality


1080p Ultra (did not test ultra RTX med/high tho, might later )



since we have the same CPU but your GPU is supposed to be more powerful, i find your result a bit odd, did not say in the initial post but i guess you use RTRT, drop it, maybe (not that RTX is a real treat anyway)
