Issues with a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB

Hey there! I recently acquired a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB off of eBay for a hackintosh to replace a RX 480 4GB as a upgrade. However, I can't get a picture to come up, I tried an Alienware, same thing. I tried another computer, this time I got a picture and it mentions "VGA card is not supported by UEFI Driver" and it booted to Windows.

I downloaded GPU-Z to see if I had different bios and it looked the same as the bios I downloaded from here for the card. The only difference I can tell was the GPU & Memory clock being different (1200/2100 on GPU-Z vs 1366/2000). The UEFI box does have a checkmark on it. I tried flashing it (The one I used was this: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/208710/sapphire-rx580-8192-180719) but it fails with P/N Mismatch. On my Opencore log it mentions "Missing compatible GOP". I also read on reddit about a BIOS switch, but this card doesn't have it (but some do? IDK.). I did try switching to UEFI on the motherboard, but it wouldn't boot and just left me with a black screen before it reverted the settings.

Can anyone help? The only thing I can think of was this may have been used as a crypto mining card, but I could be wrong.

  1. Please dont flash any bios without proper investigation!
  2. Your card has Micron memory. You tried to flash a bios which doesnt have Micron memory support!
  3. Dont use amdvbflashWIN!!! You must use amdvbflash.exe (without WIN)
  4. Use amdvbflash version 2.93

This vbios seems to be the right one:

Have you verified this is even compatible with hackintrash?

The vbios you provided worked, and I was able to enable UEFI on the motherboard and it boot up just fine. For the hackintosh and still says "Missing compatible GOP" and the Alienware shows a white screen.

Do I need something to update the GOP or something?

I have verified it's compatible.
