Issues with Games Windows 11 24H2

Hello everyone,
Firstly, i hope this is the right place for this thread,
I, very recently, upgraded my Windows 11 OS from 22H2 to 24H2
But i think it wasn't the right decision,
Some Apps i use and many games simply won't launch
I'm most interested in "Nvidia control Panel" App that won't launch at all although Nvidia App works just fine.
I'm using Nvidia RTX4060 8 GB "I'm a casual gamer not a serious one.
Regarding games, many games won't launch, for example Deathloop and ROTTR
Resident Evil is another story, RE 2 won't launch, RE 4 loads in Task Manager but doesn't launch RE 3 AND RE 7 works just fine.
Is Windows 11 24H2 buggy or I'm missing something ?

Thank you everyone.

24h2 is buggy as hell, although some windows fanboys will disagree.

You may look for the software to clean uninstall the graphic card driver. Than try a clean install

My epic games do launch in windows 11 pro 24h2 - but i use a amd processor and amd graphic card.

I have c: ntfs file system corruption and problems with the windows 11 pro 24h2 amd graphic card driver from amd. Also some visual artifacts.

some german newspages wrote several different issues regarding 24h2. windows 11 is in general buggy like hell. My new refurbished notebook which i got could not upgrade from 22h2 to 23h2 or 24h2 without my help. i applied the update manually - to make the version upgrade to 23h2. This was also necessary on my main box some months ago. A refurbisher legal windows 11 pro license on a newly refurbished hardware should instantly do a version upgrade from 22h2. But it did not two weeks ago.

It was out the gate, but all the bugs I'm aware of that remain are nearly all kernel level anticheat issues, which is actually the devs of the anticheats fault, not really a bug.

That said, the "sfc" bug it had out the gate was really bad and should never have shipped.

I've never had a problem with it, new OS install from a few weeks back, all working well even with a game like Dying Light 2 Reloaded Edition using DX11 renderer - smooth as butter @ 3440x1440p 165Hz.
I maybe a sample size of 1 afaik but don't think I'm the only one out there with this experience.

Yeah and this op is having a problem, glad you aren't but it has been troublesome since its inception.

there's a specific 24H2 version that has no issues with the scheduler but its a preview build. I am using it right now and runs all perfectly well. (when I say perfectly well, I used to get around 26-28k 3D Mark cpu scores, all of a sudden on 23H2 and a newer 22H2 build, it started to be around just 21-22k, and on some games I lost a huge rack of FPS, like in COD and on some games CPU Usage went up as well, on this specific build I got my lost performance back)

This is on an Intel System, on my AMD system 24H2 gave it a huge FPS boost, my ROG Ally had a huge uplift on the newer 24H2 build, I used to only get around 45FPS on 17w TDP budget but now I am running all my arcade and RPG games (KOF, SFV, SF6, Tekken 8) alot smother with 60++ FPS and with a much lower TDP budget now at 15w only since, the APU is now working perfectly and not everything runs on the CPU now.

I must have been lucky as well, I am using it since the initial 26100.1 release and I haven't had problems with it. I suppose 10 22H2 remains the most stable OS from MS recently. I kept my business machine on that version. On 26100.2314 right now, stable build. Works well.

My advice to OP is to try to rollback. If you need to reinstall your OS, and your machine is compatible... stick with Windows 10, for now. It's the "safe" option IMHO, 10 22H2 is what I run on my "mission critical" machine (work laptop).
