I own a 13900k with the Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI. Back then, I tweaked a lot and set voltage offsets to undervolt that beast to establish better temps and a more stable experience. Because of these “degrading issues” with the latest Intel CPUs, I now want to update the BIOS after a long time.

So the question is, if I can somehow keep my bios profile, or would it override all the settings the bios update is making?

I know some motherboards allowed you to save a profile to a usb drive.

Otherwise write down your settings or take a picture of each screen you are on.

I reset my bios to factory defaults before flashing to reduce problems.

My motherboard has this option. The point is that I think that they made changes in the default settings of the bios to cope with those degrading issues with the 13900K

Well save your profiles and take screenshots of your profile, reset to defaults and take screenshots and compare the new bios defaults to the old bios defaults and then to your profile...
