starting with shader model 6.3 cards, i.e gtx 970, gtx 980 and onwards, hardware gpu shceduling is supported in this scenario, for better minimum and average frame rates, latency

PS: this driver is DCH, control panel from windows store, and use a profile tool to migrate your settings from standard to dch

EDIT: do check with GPU Z that wddm 2.7 is infact active, with this windows/driver combo. Alternatively, launch dxdiag and head to display tab.

it would be concievable that geforce sli profile tool from nvidia for text format import /export, or profile inspector 2.3.0.2 should do the job.

edit: the former is hard to find, i will upload later from my pc

edit: procedure seems to unlock variable refresh rate on turing as well(pascal??)
