cHillen, I hate to hear of your bad experience man. As much as it sucked for you, it's cool that you're nice enough to help fellow computer enthusiasts by making such a post. Can you please provide a make and model number?

I was told that I could push my D 805 to 4.1 Ghz with water cooling, but I'm just not comfortable yet with water running thru my system.

I wish you a speedy recovery man!!

The skys the limit when your ready to overclock with liquid cooling. When I used a peltier cooler for a few months I got the same results and subzero temps. Cept with a peltier I had to worry about not only leaks, but condensation, so end the end it was more of a hassle. Plus there is no point in going to subzero temps.(Besides bragging rights) Overclocking is like this to me, it's like putting 3lbs of shit into a 2lb bag. You can only go so far before someting gives. Yes you can buy certaing bags that stretch, but sooner or later it gonna pop.

I will stick with my Zalman CNPS9500 for now. If my system crapped out due to some bad water cooling, I'd cry. :'-(

Riiiight...

Overclocking to me is like buying a toyota supra or and pushing 400hp out of the stock 250hp motor with minor upgrades.

It's just badass and cheap.

I guess that supra is bone stock. My twin turbo (from where I got my radiator from) makes 320rwhp stock on street tires.

I'm only having fun with it, selling it when next insurance payment is due. Me being a male my insurance is 2300 every 6 months. That's with perfect record, and grades.

Tipps To Avoid Leaking

It best to avoid water block with plexiglass or arcylicglass regardless their performance. They tend to crack at the thread of the connector. Sometimes the crack is so small and hard to see. The next thing you know...your computer shows no display cause the water leak on the graphic card. This is from my experience.

Buy a fully aluminium or cuprum waterblock cause they cannot crack at the thread.
(eg. Zalman GOLD waterblock)

Use plug and cool connector with PUR type tube. This connector is actually made for peneumatic (for air pump or air application) so they give more safety plus it easy to use.
