I've been using ReviOS 11 for a good few months now, after I decided (for no particular reason) that I would check out a stripped down version. I'm very happy with it and will likely be sticking with it, but I thought I'd ask if anybody has experiences with other stripped versions?

I had a look at the feature list, for ReviOS 11, I think it has stripped a little too much but nowhere near as bad as alternatives like tiny11. They have at least one snakeoil tweak, but luckily its harmless what they set.

I like what they did to the hidden cpu scheduler settings, (actually similar to me setting prefer performant cores for raptor lake).

If its working, stick with what you got, and I think tiny11 is higher risk to break something.

Well, the thing about ReviOS which made me try it in particular is that it comes with its own configuration tool called "Revision Tool", which lets you add in (or remove) whatever stuff you want or need post install. Hence it's really only as stripped as you want it to be. Other than the decreased install size and memory use I haven't really noticed any change at all from vanilla Win11. Everything works, no instabilities, but everything is just a little more snappy.

Yeah, I'm not really after a change, I just wanted to check out anyone else's experiences, if any.

you must be fearless installing such things on bare metal,

IMO considering debloated official win11 is ~90 processes - it's not worth it

Up to you I guess. It's free, it's more lightweight, it uses less memory, it's stable and it's as easy to install as vanilla. All wins in my book, so what's "not worth it" I don't know.

I am using custom post-install tweaks: 70 processes / 640 threads / 25000 handles / 1,8GB RAM (700MB used by ramdisk)
You could gain about 20 less processes by disabling MS services, I am using MS account, onedrive, Edge, windows firewall.
