Lost Ark, is a new to NA (kinda) free-to-play action RPG. As developer Smilegate says:

Personally, I have been patiently awaiting this title for quite some time. Years actually. Originally fully released in South Korea in November 2018, and in beta form in Russia and Japan back in 2020.

Lost Ark is primarily a PVE game with loads of content for casual and hard-core players alike. It is free to play with a cash shop. IMO the cash shop is a bit pay to win but PVP is not.

How Does Lost Ark PvP Work​

Lost Ark PvP is played in a classic arena format. These are instanced rooms that give players and teams personal areas to battle it out, with the available modes being 3v3 deathmatch, 3v3 with individual 1v1 arenas, and a 6 player free for all.

PvP content requires at least level 26 to play and features an interesting equalization system, this means that gear has no impact and your level doesn’t really matter, as you’re able to freely select skills and engravings. Additionally, you’ll also need to complete a set of challenges to unlock ranked PvP, which will be detailed in the PvP screen in-game.

Back to my opinion:
Built on the unreal engine 3, graphics are a bit dated but overall still very nice. As a POE player I have been waiting for a POE alternative with more to do and it seems Lost Ark has more going for it, as in more content, more meat to dig into, and more user friendly. From what I have read, the real game doesn't start until the end-game! Getting to the end game shouldn't take too long either. If you focus, it should only take 10-20 hours.

There is just so much content that I don't know where to start so I'll just post a few links and let you look into it. I think if you enjoy games like POE or Diablo, then this might be up your alley. It could be the next good MMO we get for a while. The last MMO to pull me in was ESO and I still play it but I have been in need of something new and boy do I love POE. I hope that Lost Ark pulls me in doubly so.
