Getting an issue when trying to clone my boot drive. Boot drive C is a 2TB Sandisk drive, but the data and partitions themselves will fit on a 1TB drive.

Never had an issue with Reflect Free before, but this time I am getting error code = 9.

Trying to clone to drive G, a 1TB Crucial drive. What Disk Management shows before starting. I've quick formatted drive G:

What Reflect Free shows when trying to clone my boot drive partitions:

Not sure what partition 5 (none) is, but can't seem to drag/drop that? I can drag/drop the first 4 partitions:

But these are the results:

Not too sure how to resolve this. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeppers, exactly what he said.

Are you sure? I'm fairly certain I've done this before (large HDD to smaller SSD) as long as the partitions can fit it should work. Or at least that is what I can recall.

I'm not familar with Macrium Reflect. Try using another software like Paragon, Acronis, @Active, Clonezilla (free).

If you are going to a smaller hard drive, you need to partition the drive you are wanting to image to the same size or smaller than the one you want the image on.

I've had to do this a couple of times.

Just go into your drive manager and partition your main drive to 1gb or smaller

I notice from the images in your original post, your main "C" drive is 1.8 gb's. That isn't going to work trying to image that to a 1 gig hard drive bro.

You can probably find 2 to 4 gig external drives for $50 or less.

I'll try that, but that is what I am doing from within Reflect. Only 857GB is being cloned from that partition. It won't clone the empty space if you clicked the Advanced options tab. If there isn't enough space it will give you an error saying there isn't enough space before it even begins the process.
