It's a laptop GPU. You need to consider whether you are exceeding the total power limit. There was also an issue with GPU power limits set in BIOS for some G15 and G16 models(gpu locks up in certain apps at 25 or 30W). Not sure if there is an update for your specific laptop, but it's worth checking out. Also, try installing(or uninstalling) Dell's power management software. I had an issue with it on many newer dell laptops(things like CPU fan not working properly, or CPU/GPU throttling when it should not etc. ).
