Memory upgrade for an eMachines T3256

bought a set of Crucial Ballistix ram ddr 400 (BL6464Z402.16TGY).

Anyone know why this is showing up as pc2700@333?

Please Help

What is your FSB and memory divider set at?

fsb set to 400 for processor, no memory adjustment available that I can find.

If you have put them in with your older, PC2700 RAM they will downclock to the PC2700 speed.

On your board it's listed as DRAM Clock (Mhz) The Cpu Host Clock Control is the "fsb"setting. You need to set the ram divider to DDR400

Exactly.

Bekkler; Im not too sure on that board though. Generally speaking, if you havent changed it in the past it will be set to auto or something, and will automatically change with the new RAM (Again, not on all boards, and I am unsure of yours)

Of course, its always worth a try

Odds are is that your board doesn't support PC3200 (DDR400). Double check manual or manuf specs for the board.
