It's not the overloaded download servers. That can happen.

But what is with that useless additional login (which queues for hours) although we are already logged into MSN and maybe Steam? What are we logging into? It is a single player game.

People who made it through report half-rendered planes and no terrain improvements.

Marketplace and your previously purchased planes will be missing for weeks.

They still run the GPU on high power during download, login queue and game launcher, just like in 2020.

Have to admit the new sim isn't much different than 2020. Could have just been an upgrade/expansion.

Agreed.

But they changed all the hotkeys. Since 2024 isn't good enough to switch to it entirely I am now in that state where I forgot more 2020 keys than I learned 2024 keys. No fun.
 
I think my assumption that this whole FS2024 development is in fact an Azure/cloud gaming experiment in disguise, is correct.
