System Name Which one? Lol
I bought a MLLSE rx580 8GB 2048sp from Newegg on 4/12/23 for $69.99 plus tax. I recently put it in a build for a customer and was having weird issues. I got display and Windows installed drivers, but I ran the auto detect on AMD and had nothing but issues. Even manually clicking rx580 drivers and downloading Adrenaline I got errors that it couldn't be opened. Running any sort of benchmark would run at 1-2fps. I figured there was some driver issue. I took the heatsink off and the chip is AMD 215-0910052 and coming back to a RX570x? Even in GPUZ it would show as a 570, which I know is fairly common. Now I'm wondering if it is infact some weird driver/compatibility issue with Adrenaline or if the V BIOS is messed up? There is one that someone posted here I can try. Titled MLLSE RX 580 2048sp 8GB BIOS Filename 253019.rom. I've never flashed a V BIOS and don't have the tool, but I can buy one. Sorry if this is all over the place. This was a couple months ago and I'm trying to remember all the steps I took. I'm currently starting another build for someone and may try it in this build to replicate the issues or get it to work. I do remember having an issue with older AMD GPUs like R9-280x and stuff with legacy drivers, but I believe I just used an older version of Adrenaline. Any input or suggestions welcome. Wish I could remember a bit more clearly, but I waited too long before deciding to tackle this again. Thanks!

Hello.
Buying chinese Polaris cards is a bit risky.
But, since you bought it let's focus how can we make it work.
Yes indeed, your GPU chip is used also on RX570, because was designed for that model :)
Chinese producers had the idea to rebrand it and name it RX580 but with lower SP in this case 2048.
In order to flash your card you need no external programmer.
At least at this point.
Just back up your current BIOS for further use.
Then follow the guide :
