Good day everyone! Here you can find driver packages modified by me for X-Fi audio cards.

Updated catalog with modified drivers.

Instructions for installing\reinstalling the driver:
1. Disable driver updates from Windows Update.
2. Remove the old driver.
3. Clean up the remaining driver, for example using Driver fussion.

Hello, everyone! I am new to the forum. Last week I got a new computer with Windows 11. It seems Creative is not thinking about updating its drivers. I have been reading another thread about these cards and it seems mine -X-Fi Titanium, that is-, will have to end up either in my older computer or who knows where. I got an AMD A8-7650K Radeon R7, 10 Compute Core 4C+6G 3.30 GHz, 16,0 GB RAM with Windows Pro Education 22H2. Are there any chances for me? I'd more than gratified if I can go back to that lovely sound. I miss it a lot.

The card will work fine if you disable core isolation.

I can't. It says I need Administration priviledges although I am the administrator. I guess I am not computer savvy enough to do this.

Kernel isolation works using virtualization. You can try disabling virtualization in the BIOS.

Not working for me..
Blue screen with ha20x2k.sys when is ~70-80% installing driver.
Win10 22H2 Build 19045.4780 in test mode and disabled signature.
My patient X-Fi SB0460..

How I can fix this?
Need to replace with old ha20x2k file in your installer?

Hi,
Ive up until recently been still using my old creative xfi fatality pcie card, but when I changed my vr headset from the hp reverb g2 to the pimax crystal I needed to enable the nvidia sound output as the pimax headset speakers get the sound from the display port where the reverb got it from the usb.
For some reason I could no longer delect the settings required to ouput to my AV system in the creative software.
So I had a chat with creative and ended up getting the X4, but the equaliser settings on spdif output don't work and my flight sim has no decent bass.
I have been going around in circles for a few weeks and got nowhere.
The driver I was using is PCDRV L11 2 40 0019.
Having gone through this thread Im wondering if the files above will get my xfi card working again, so Im wondering which one I should use please as there are two different ones.
Thanks.

Hi @Antes533 , first of all let me thank you for this, I recently reinstalled my X-Fi Titanium (SB0880) using your modified driver version XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_17_0008 and everything is working great except for Doom 3 and F.E.A.R. which no matter what I do can't get EAX to work, both games notify that EAX is enabled but I can't hear a difference with it on vs off. These are the only 2 titles that don't seem to be working right, everything else I tested works without issues.

Any ideas what I could try?

As far as I remember, for these games there are some patches for normal operation of EAX.

Creative xfi titanium fatality is what I have, although I'm having some success with the new X4 I got in the sale.
Problem with the X4 is the graphic equiliser doesn't work in the creative app under spdif output, but they are trying to help me sort it out.

Does this fix the issue where there is no sound if you go under volume level 6 in windows for the xfi fatality pro?

As far as I remember, for these games there are some patches for normal operation of EAX.

I checked and both games are fully patched. Doom 3 I have version 1.3.1 which is the lates version and F..E.A.R. is version 1.08, also the latest version. I went through the PCGamingWikis for both games and there is nothing indicating that I need to use mods or community patches for EAX to work, not sure what is happening.

Also I tested with OpenAL Soft and both games have working effects when using it, not sure if they match hardware EAX as I can't get it to work on my system for both games.

Anyone else has tried these drivers and these games?

UPDATE (January 18th, 2025):
I got Doom 3 to work by enabling compatibility mode for Windows Vista and EAX effects set to ON in the Creative Console Launcher. Unfortunately for F.E.A.R. I still can't find a fix, I know that game is a Direct Sound game (unlike Doom 3 which is OpenAL) so I'm thinking that maybe Alchemy and the dll file it uses no longer work in Windows 11 24/H2, no matter what compatibility setting I use no EAX effects are applied to the game.

UPDATE 2:
Apparently it was my Creative Alchemy version, I had version 1.45.20 installed but after installing and older version (1.41.00) now I have EAX effects. Not sure which version broke the game as I'm to lazy to test but I finally got it working. Leaving it here for anyone who has the same issue.

F.E.A.R is a D3SD game, y DOOM 3 is a OpenAL game:

F.E.A.R. (PC) (Gameplay) / DS3D HW (ALchemy)

Doom 3 (PC) (Gameplay) / OpenAL HW

No, this is the specification of all Audigy and X-Fi cards. Below volume 5, audio output is muted.
