Monitor Not Being Detected

So I've been trying to set up my triple monitors since I recently upgraded my old graphics card, Nvidia GT 640, to a PCS+ Radeon R9 390. Thing is, all three monitors worked fine with that old card. This new one on the other hand, doesn't seem to be picking up one of the monitors. The main monitor I use is connected via HDMI to the graphics card. Second one is actually a TV, connected HDMI to the onboard graphics of the motherboard. The main change is the third monitor, which is a Gateway FPD1760 TFT LCD Color Monitor that is now connected via DVI-D to the graphics card, before this was connected through a VGA -> VGA Converter DVI-I -> Graphics Card, and it worked perfectly fine. The monitor signal is picked up during BIOS startup, since it replicates the image on the main monitor, but right after BIOS, signal is gone, says "No signal," and then the power button goes from blue to a yellow-orange color. Any help is highly appreciated!

My config ? I would use the VGA convertor DVI-I, but the graphics card has 2 DVI-D ports, so those are the ones I'm able to use. I don't have any spare cables for anything else, if not I would've tried that. Gateway monitor only has VGA, and DVI-D ports. Unsure if that monitor has drivers online, since it's quite old and outdated, but it worked before with the other card. So I don't know what to do in this case

Pretty sure one monitor must be connected thru display port (you may need to buy suitable adapter) on these cards

some one owning similar set up will jump in and confirm/correct this

Why would I need it to be connected through a display port? Does it need to be an active or passive adaptor? It's only 2 monitors on the graphics card, and 1 on the onboard graphics

:( Unless I am blind, I don't see your card in the user guide download list. I was going to ask what your manual said for connecting 3 monitors.

Many motherboards automatically disable on-board graphics when an add-in card is detected. This is usually desired to improve system performance by freeing up system resources used by the integrated graphics as most users don't need both the card and integrated enable. Boot into the BIOS Setup Menu and ensure the integrated graphics is still enabled.

The ('manual')[http://www.powercolor.com/us/products_features.asp?id=585#Specification] only shows how to properly hold the card, along with instructions on how to install the card and the drivers. That's it. The integrated graphics is already working, it's the one connected to the TV, which I don't have a problem with. It's the other monitor connected with the graphics card :l

I found that link, but when I click the Download button, it leads to the same page I posted above where I don't see your card listed.

Well if it's not on the manufacturer's site, and it didn't come with it, then the only thing is the quick installation guide. Drivers are there, that's about it

So are you saying no user manual came in the box or on the accompanied disk?

Yes and no. Yes manual came in the disk, but no to the manual in the box, and no manual for the 390, or any 300 series in particular

Don't know if this helps; however, here it is.

AMD Radeon™ Multi-Monitor and Eyefinity Configuration and Setup FAQ
AMD recommends that you connect the HDTV via HDMI. If you wish to connect an HDTV in addition to multiple monitors, then:

  1. The first non-TV display may be connected to any output (HDMI, DVI, VGA, DP).
  2. The TV should be connected to HDMI.
  3. The remaining displays must be connected to the GPU's DisplayPort outputs. You may use active DisplayPort adapters if these remaining displays don't natively offer support for DisplayPort.

The thing is, on their basic requirements for connecting multiple displays, it says this:
  1. The first two monitors can connect to the graphics card with any display output on your product: HDMI, VGA, DVI or DisplayPort.
  2. The third (or greater) display must be connected to the graphics card via DisplayPort.
Even when the TV isn't connected into the integrated graphics motherboard, that second display still won't receive any signal

Now I get it. After doing a little googling I see this is another one of those [deception??? :( ] tricks used by GPU makers to stretch their profits and sale-value of their existing GPUs. The R9 390 is really a re-branded and slightly tweaked version of the older R9 290. So that is the manual you need to refer to.

Looked through it and everything. Still nothing though. That one monitor doesn't seem to want to work with the card

Check on the eyefinity tab in the Catalyst/Radeon settings and set windows to extend? and if using the new crimson drivers go into Display, click on Additional Settings and then Properties then check "Alternate DVI operational mode" and see if that makes it work again through the graphic card's dvi-d.

Where would I find the Properties for "Alternate DVI operational mode" ? Not quite finding it

Not seeing that option here

Plug in the dvi monitor alone.

P.S: Not to sound rude or w/e but it doesn't hurt to click on tabs and seeing/reading their content.

I've already looked through all the tabs, I obviously can't see the DVI one because like I've stated multiple times, it doesn't receive any signal, so I can't do what you're telling me to do. If I could receive signal on it, I wouldn't still be asking for help

Edit: and yes, I've already tried restarting my pc, with only the DVI-D Monitor connected, stops receiving signal after BIOS

Incredibly wierd i must say, try and get an dp to dvi adapter and see how that goes :S
