hello,
I have had my laptop ACER CN515 for the past five years, the nvidea quadro rtx3000 always became +80 degrees celsius while working on cad models, rendering and the sometimes gaming. Last month my battery died and took my graphics card with it to heaven. Brought it to multiple repair shops, except form changing the battery they couldn't fix the graphics card. I have a smaller intel card as well in my laptop, so kept on using it until I found a replacement. Last week during a data transfer of pictures the laptop became incredibly slow, and after going away and coming back the laptop died. It didn't start anymore, no fans spinning, no leds when charging, totally dead. So I assumed the worst. mother board fried... taking it apart I see 2 burned places. one (I assume) resistor close to the nvidea chip and another chip which I have no clue what it does. I'm wondering, since this motherboard is ±1700 euro worth, if might it be possible to change out the brunt parts (and hopefully even get the Quadro rtx3000 back to life? or is this a lost cause and should I go on with life?
